Seeking to explore the origins of glass, my work refers to the element glass is comprised of - sand. In contemplating the dwindling of natural resources, I considered how natural elements can be crafted. I fused layers of glass powders that resulted in different variations of fabricated landscapes, from sand dunes to snowy mountain tops. I aim to evoke futuristic artificial elements of nature and the processes of natural formation.
